As we grow older, our collection of meaningful keepsakes continues to grow. From vintage family photos to fragile floral jewelry boxes, our stack of pretty treasures has turned into a tall tower in the back of the closet. We have since been on the lookout for a modern method to display those delicate collections.
Enter the Sprout by HP, an all-in-one PC, projector and 3D scanner. Or, in other words: the ultimate creativity station. With the overhead camera you can instantly capture 3D objects and then use the touch mat to resize, rotate and alter the image.
As soon as the Sprout arrived at our doorstep, we decided to scan our stack of beloved items. The possibilities were endless. Items that were too irreplaceable to modify in real life took on a new life. We quickly layered captures of antique kitchen towels, ornamental tea cups, passages from our favorite novels and hand-written love notes.
We even ended up scanning bouquets of fresh tulips and little greyhound paws. How could we not?
We used the Punch tool to crop the images (it’s as simple as it sounds!) into geometric shapes. We used our fingers to transform pictures of our valuables into contemporary patterns, leaving a touch of fresh white space to match our home decor aesthetic. After we finished, we placed our keepsakes back into safe storage and printed and framed our updated collection. Who knew a petite gallery wall could be so significant.
Here's to reimagining creativity, Clementines. What would you make with the Sprout?
