As we Clementine gals get caught up in prepping and planning for the approaching holidays, we often forget to stop and take in the moment in front of us. This year, we made it a priority to slow down and savor the season. We took a cue from the Italians and hosted a dinner that highlighted the conversation and conviviality around the table, as much as the food and drinks.
For a relaxed but sophisticated feel, we swapped predictable centerpieces for a handpicked bouquet of pine branches, layered linen tablecloths, mismatched vintage china and our treasured ruby goblets passed-down generations ago.
We welcomed our closest friends and family members with bottles of San Pellegrino and antipasto spreads, complete with prosciutto and rosemary goat cheese crostini. The green bottles glistened in the fading light as we lingered around the table, enjoying a night of authentic homemade courses.
The sparkling setting enhanced the mood for an unforgettable night that was, most importantly, filled with heartfelt laughter, resonating narratives, and cherished traditions.
What holiday traditions do you hold near and dear? We’d love to know!
