Today is Giving Tuesday and this year, more than ever, it matters. Our choices can give hope to those who need it most, so it matters that we support the organizations that work tirelessly to make a difference. Finding a cause to support, be it monetary or time spent, is a beautiful way to start. Think about where and what you can serve, and what good it will do. From local communities to national and global causes, there are so many doing charitable work that, with our support, we will make a difference.

So continue to champion each other, every day. Be a voice for those with none, be brave when you can, be kind always. When you feel divided or less than or alone, seek the good. Use #GivingTuesday as the start.

Here are a few organizations we fully support, and welcome you to explore.

Stand With Standing Rock: Currently, tribes, allies and peoples are fighting the Dakota Access Pipeline. Here’s more information on how to help.

Let Girls Learn, She’s The First, The Malala Fund: All working toward ensuring girls and women have access to the education they rightly deserve. Empowering women changes the world.

Human Rights Campaign: A non-profit organization working toward equality for all.

American Civil Liberties Union: The ACLU works to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the United States.

Moms Demand Action: An organization working to establish common-sense gun laws.

Planned Parenthood: A women’s health non-profit committed to providing reproductive health services.

Friends of the Earth: An environmental organization that strives for a more healthy and just world.

Every Mother Counts: A global organization to make pregnancy and childbirth safe for every mother, everywhere.

Girls Who Code: A non-profit organization dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology.

World Relief: Help build refugee welcome kits for those settling into a new home.

International Rescue Committee: Help families caught in the worst humanitarian crisis to survive and rebuild.

ORGANIZE: It will take 47 seconds, and you’ll become an organ donor.

Mighty Good Things: Pick a charity, donate your stuff and 100% of the proceeds from sales of your old goods go where you want it.

Happy Period: An organization that provides menstrual hygiene kits to homeless women who would otherwise go without.

And, here are a few of our favorite brands who have built in giving with every purchase:

FEED: Beautiful bags that help feed the world.

Tribe Alive: Connecting marginalized groups with the global marketplace through building sustainable partnerships—and offering beautiful curated goods.

The Little Market: A women-led non-profit that was founded to empower women, selling fair trade products that are ethically made.

Boll & Branch: Linen and textile products made with respect for human and environmental resources.

Cuddle + Kind: Ethically produced hand-knit dolls that help feed children. For every doll purchased, 10 meals are given.

The Giving Keys: Pay it forward by employing those transitioning out of homelessness.

Our friend Erin has more suggestions, as does Darling Magazine.
