Let's get real for a moment, shall we? In an effort to be completely honest, we're here to tell you that we all have really bad days. We're talking terrible-no-good days, dear Clementines. In these moments when we're feeling particularly low, can't seem to get out of a funk or find ourselves bellied up to the bar in a pity party for one, we rely heavily on borrowed phrases to help us through.

Luckily, we're sharing. Here are five mantras we've committed to memory. They've gotten us out of a self-imposed jam on more than one occasion.

Attitude is everything. There is something to be said for turning that frown upside down. We've taken to telling ourselves that attitude is everything on a regular basis. The instant we say those three little words, our perspectives begin to shift. Only we can control our outlook on life, so we're all for keeping it positive whenever possible.

It's not the destination, it's the journey. Have you ever reached a goal only to ask, "Okay, what's next?" Us too. It's great to keep striving for bigger and better things, but we're constantly reminding ourselves to sit back and enjoy the ride every now and then.

To each her own. We all have that friend who's making choices we don't agree with or a family member who's walking a path we can't begin to understand, right? To that we say, "to each her own." Though it can be tough to remember, they're just living their lives to the best of their ability—much in the same way you're living your life, making your choices and walking your own path.

Just let it go. That huge mistake you just made? The terrible work project failure of 2009? Yep. Let it go. We know, we know... it's easier said than done. However, we find that if we can recognize our missteps and hiccups, understand how we can do better next time and just move on, we're much better equipped to handle what life sends our way.

I am enough. So simple, yet so easy to forget. We are surrounded by amazing people and things. In fact, we're bombarded with messages and imagery that tell us why we aren't enough every single day. We should be aspiring to have more, shine brighter, be better. Sometimes, it's just too much! When we're feeling particularly weak-spirited, we're huge fans of this simple, yet pointed statement.
