Let's be real: there are times that all of the hand cream in the world isn't enough to banish the signs of winter.

That's when we whip up this fresh scrub. It buffs away dry patches, lifts our spirits with its lemon-y brightness, and preps skin to soak up all that good moisture. Here's how to make it:

  1. Mix one part olive oil to two parts sugar (the coarser the sugar the scrubbier the scrub!)

  2. Add a squeeze of lemon juice and pinch of lemon zest

  3. Massage into backs of hands and cuticles. Close eyes and take a few deep cleansing breaths

  4. Rinse and admire your baby-soft hands
